Creating an e-commerce with the products of the brochure. Finding sponsors
and writing commercial letters. Defining marketing strategies and finding
out in what way a local European product could be of any interest
in other countries. Getting help from local authorities and companies.
Drafting product descriptions. Defining prices. Putting it all on the
net. Proposing a logo and a slogan for the project e-commerce.
Mid-December 5th project meeting in Slovakia, with teachers and students.
Order forms will be realized together. The project e-commerce site should
be ready to work at the end of the meeting.
Mid-December
to beginning of May
Running the e-commerce / buying and selling virtually / analysing the
positive and negative aspects of it.
Beginning
of May
6th and last project meeting in Hungary.
Conclusion of the project. Putting everything in order on the site so
that it can be installed on a CD.
So, there
will be the following project products: the homepage of all students
involved in the project, the web site of the training firm, multi-media
presentations, brochures and albums about the city, the region, the
country.
For each meeting host students will have to prepare a visit op their
school, city and region.
Year
2, 2005/2006 :
September to mid-December :
Promoting local and typical products. Each group will have to make a
presentation of different products of their area. They will have the
possibility to visit companies making and selling the products and to
investigate about the countries where these products are sold (if any).
They will have to prepare an exhibition. They will also have to make
a presentation of their traditional Christmas meals.
Mid-December
:
3rd project meeting in Vienna, Austria, with teachers and students.
The exhibition could be organized at school, for example. Each partner
school will be provided with a stand on which the area and the products
will be presented. If possible, parents, partner companies in Austria
will be invited. Traditional Christmas menus and recipes will be given.
For ex. at Xmas, they have special nut and poppy-seed rolls in Hungary.
A video and a photo album could be made and put on the website as well.
Mid-December to beginning of May
From what they will have seen and discovered, student will have to create
a brochure with regional products, in an original way. They will have
to work together via the Internet, mails, chats, video conferences,
to agree on the layout of the brochure which should be attractive. They
will have to define a marketing strategy to do so.
Beginning
of May
4th project meeting in Blois with teachers.
Students will have to assemble at that time the brochure together and
present it to a company manager, if possible.
An expert could be invited to explain legal matters relative to e-commerce
in Europe.

2004/2005
September
to mid-December
each student
makes his/her homepage (bilingual ) in which he/she will introduce himself/herself
and the class group works on the frame of a common web page. As soon
as possible students will have the possibility to communicate via e-mails,
chats or / and web cam or video conferences
Mid-December
:
1st project meeting in Sint Niklaas, Belgium with teachers. Each partner
group will make a presentation of what they’ve made in their school,
and show their proposals for the project common web page or site.
In group working, they will finally decide together of the final frame
of the project web site.
Mid-December
to beginning of May :
getting acquainted with each other’s country, region, city, school
system, school, etc., through presentation on the Internet, questionnaires,
chats, videos, photos, …in order to be aware of the European reality,
its differences, its similarities. Comparing the laws and regulations
concerning youth, e.g. the legal age for voting, protection of the youth
(drinking age, at what age a person can sign contracts etc...) historic
connections and relationships of the partner countries.
Beginning
of May :
2nd project meeting in Romania, with teachers and students. During the
meeting presentations will be made by the students who will have not
only to introduce their environment but also promote it.
On the spot, students will have to realize a European brochure, assembling
all the information they will have gathered. To be typed in a written
brochure and in several languages, to be put on a CD, in order to be
easily distributed ( to libraries, local representatives, chambers of
commerce, tourism office …) and to be put on the project website.
During that first year, students will be given the possibility to meet
(for example) local and European representatives, tourism office members,
education deciders, company managers.
